your videos are well explained and produced. So your Dvd seems to be a great yoga aid. But I prefer videos with full repetitions (not only explanations) so I can do my yoga life with the clips. It is more motivation than to pause the video all the time or trying to remember all poses. Keep on!

I have a bad ankle, I rolled a golf cart when I was 16 (i just turned 25), so not it grinds and under the ankle near the first joints of the pinky toe (outside of foot) when I do the ones which require weight on the left side it really strains the weak muscles around there. Besides my balance training (on pads and balls and what not) is there any other way to really get good flexibility in this area specifically and rebuild those muscles (im trying to fight imbalance) thanks.

I remember when this came out Bowie said he thought it was the most beautiful song he'd ever written. I loved it, but didn't agree. Now, I've re-discovered my old soundtrack, and have been listening to all the songs again, I've had enough time to distance it from the film (yes, it didn't quite work, but I loved the intent of it, and many of it's elements - and the music!). @Mr0ldschool Ja, in München war ich auch schon 2x und ich finde es ist auch eine wunderschöne Stadt! Viktualienmarkt,Hofbräuhaus und das Rathaus sind auch Highlights die es so in anderen Städten auch nicht gibt, doch ich finde Hamburg hat eine höhere Lebensqualität (zumindest habe ich es so empfunden als ich dort war), aber ist ja auch Geschmackssache! :)

@tristin183 That is incorrect there are ways around those chords, I have just replied with a much easier method for the F chord. I would never expect any 12 year old to be able to play 6 string barres. Even some adults with strong and large fingers find them difficult. The B chord is rarely used by beginners.

@Jennah9 I'm not surprised you are having trouble, 6 string barre chords are not for beginners. The only notes required to make the chord of F are F A C which is much more easily achieved by first and second string being stopped at the first fret (with first finger) Making F&C - third string at the second fret (using second finger) making A Fourth string at the 3rd fret making another F then fifth string (already A) left open. Don't play the 6th string.

@OtakuGatsu90 It is not a C9 chord (there is no Bflat ) - it is actually a C chord with an added 9th. The 7th (Bflat) has to also be used in a 9th chord. He just describes it as an alternative C chord which is incorrect. Actual notation of a C9 is G/D/Bflat/E/C. One chord it definitely isn't is a beginners chord :-)

I hope you don't mind me mentioning but although playing the correct notes on the Emin and E chords you are using the wrong fingers. The second finger should be on the fifth string and the third finger on the fourth string. (You show it the other way round) This is not just an easier (and correct) way to play the chords but also gets the fingers closer to the second fret (where they should be). You make similar fingering mistakes elsewhere. Also your 2nd variation of C chord is NOT a C chord.

Cont 1 Things that could be wrong include Arthiritus or Tendonitis, but not likely. If you exercise in a very quite room you might hear your joints, its as simple as that. I know I do for certain exercies like dumbbell arm raises or cable bicep curls, if it is real quite I sound like a robot that needs some lube. Both my elbow and shoulder joints can in these situations make a racket.

That sound is the synovial fluid around your cartilage creating an air pocket, then the air returning which causes a popping noise. Don't lock your elbows, stop just short of that. Changing your hand position just slightly might be all you need to do. If it isn't painful don't worry about it. If it does hurt, see a doctor and find out for sure if something is wrong.

@lykomgwth with correct posture and plenty of practice, yes. you don't really loose weight, but belly dance does tone up your muscles, including the deep core muscles. Basic posture is feet hip width apart, knees slightly bent, from which you are well grounded to move into different positions without feeling like you're going to fall over. keeping your knees 'soft' means that your thight muscles are working all the time. Any way, bellydancing is just pure fun to do!

Not one single technique is suitable for all musical and technical situations. The "anchored floating thumb rest-stroke technique" will not work when we are continually crossing strings at speed, such as playing fast octaves. Regards, George

Just got my bass (well, actually, my father, who's also a guitarist, happened to have one lying around, but neither of us really knew how to play it--ha!), and I've recently decided to try "taking up" bass. I'm using a Yamaha bass at the moment, and I know nothing about them, honestly, being someone who's focused mainly on guitars. Haha. But these lessons are a huge help, George. Congratulations on your 1st bass! There are already a few good videos on You Tube on the topic of notes on the fretboard. My step-by-step course (available through my website) gets you knowing all notes in all positions on all strings within the first 8 lessons (i.e. within the first month). That said, however, it is more important to get a good feel for the bass and the groove before learning any notes. Happy learning and playing! George
